- On the 14th and 15th of Adar Rishon we do not say Tachanun, Lam’natzayach Kayl Erech Apayim, nor Tzidkoscha Tzedek. Both days are likewise forbidden in fasting and eulogising. (ShA – MB )
- The Al Hanissim is not added to any prayer on Purim Koton. (MB )
- Any seuda that is made to remember the wonders or miracles of Hashem is considered a seudas mitzva. (MB )
- You should hold at least a small feast on the 14th of Adar Rishon (not the 15th – even for benay krach). It is a good idea to invite guests for it as well. (Rama – MB , )
- Whenever you have a simcha, even a simcha shel mitzva, you should spice it with divray Torah and songs of praise to Hashem in order to keep the yetzer hora in check. That is the meaning of Rama’s words: “V’tov laiv mishteh tomid.” (ShaT 2)
