- Distracting activities e.g. filling a cup of hot water.
- Speaking even a little bit (except where necessary for the seuda).
- Divray Torah.
- Delaying after drying for more than the time it takes to walk 22 amos.
- Walking to a different building.(ShA – MB 2,4,5 – ShaH 1)
- If you did interrupt, you do not need to wash again. (MB 6)
- You are allowed to delay while waiting for someone to bring salt. (MB Siman167:29)
- It is proper to recite the Mizmor “Hashem Roi” (Psalm 23) after eating from the Hamotzi. (MB 3)
