- The time for tekias shofar begins from sunrise until night. However, the custom from the olden days is to postpone even tekios demeyushav until after krias hatorah. (ShA – MB )
- When Rosh Hashana falls out on Shabbos we don’t blow the shofar, It becomes a k’li shemelachto l’issur. (ShA )
- When Rosh Hashana falls on a week day, although you may move the shofar, you may not use it for non-mitzva purposes since it is set aside for the mitzvah. (MB )
