Demolishing a perfectly sturdy kli is ossur because of Sosair. The Gra allowed this unless the breakage results in a useful kli. (ShA 1 – MB 7)
If a kli is glued together you may break it to access its contents. Just be sure not to make a nice hole for further use – that would be tikkun mona. (ShA 1)
