Siman 490 – Daavening for the Second Day and Chol Hamoed

  1. Yaaleh V’yovoh is added to Shacharis, Mincha and Maariv of Chol Hamoed. If you skipped it completely, go back to daaven Shemoneh Esray again. (ShA2 — MB3)
  1. On Chol Hamoed throughout the rest of Pesach, the abridged Hallel is recited daily. (ShA4)
  1. Omit Shehecheyanu from the Kiddush of the last days of Yom Tov. The insert ‘z’man chayrusaynu’ still applies just as on Yom Tov rishon. (ShA7)
  1. On Shabbos Chol Hamoed the daavening is like for a regular Shabbos except that Ya’aleh V’yovoh is added. Musaf is for Chol Hamoed with additions for Shabbos. (ShA9)
  1. Our minhag is to read Shir Hashirim on Shabbos Chol Hamoed Pesach. If Shvii shel Pesach occurs on Shabbos, we read it on that day. We read Rus on Shavuos. (Rama9)
