- The prohibition of riding animals on Yom Tov, does not apply on Chol Hamoed. (MB )
- Combing your horse in preparation for riding is likewise allowed. Even though it will inevitably pull out hair, and on Yom Tov it’s forbidden because of p’sik raysha, on Chol Hamoed combing is considered a festival need. (ShA – MB )
- Refua is allowed for animals on Chol Hamoed – even if the remedy entails doing a melacha d’oraisa. (ShA – MB ) #
