הChelek 5
- You may eat after the Seuda Hamafsekkes. Nevertheless it is preferable to verbalize or at least think a condition that you will not accept the fast until sundown. (ShA – MB )
- The eve of Tisha B’Av has the same restrictions as the day. Bain Hashmoshos before and after Tisha B’Av are treated l’chumra. (ShA – MB )
- No restrictions apply until sunset (Bain Hashmashos) but the Maharil writes to remove your shoes before you go to shul. At least remove them before Bain Hashmoshos. (Rama – MB )
- When Tisha B’Av falls out on Motzay Shabbos – if you will be removing your shoes before Borchu of Maariv, say Hamavdil first. If, bedieved you touched your shoes, wipe your hands on something clean and go daaven. (Rama – MB )
- The Rama brings the minhag not to learn Torah on erev Tisha B’Av from noon. Since others argue, whoever wants to be maykil and learn Torah then, do not protest. (Rama – MB )
- The Rama’s minhag applies even on Shabbos and therefore does not allow the customary learning of Pirkay Avos. You can learn Torah relying on the lenient opinions especially on Shabbos. (Rama – MB )
- You should not engage in pleasure walks on erev Tisha B’Av. (Rama )
