- You must hear three sets of tekia-terua-tekia on Rosh Hashana. Since there is a doubt as to the sound of “terua” in the Torah, we fulfill all opinions and therefore blow tekia-shevarim terua-tekia three times. Tekia-shevarim-tekia three times. And tekia-terua-tekia three times. (ShA , )
- After the tekios, the chazzan says the possuk “Ashray ha’om yoday terua…..” and “Ashray..” and then returns the sifray Torah. (Rama )
