Siman 488 – Yom Tov Morning

  1. After Borchu, say Yotzer Or like on weekdays. (MB1)
  1. Some halachos of the WHOLE HALLEL: If you omitted even one word or pronounced it in a way that changes the meaning, you must go back and say the word correctly and continue in order. (MB2 — ShaH2)
  1. Hallel should be said b’tzibbur. If you come into shul when the tzibbur is about to say Hallel, say it together with them and then go back to daaven. (MB3 — ShaH4)
  1. When do you cease to mention ‘Masheev haruch…’? Our minhag is for the individual to say ‘Masheev haruach…’ until he hears the chazzan omit it in the repetition of Musaf. (ShA3 — MB11)
  1. We also cease inserting ‘v’sayn tal umottar’ from Chol Hamoed and onwards. It is advisable for the shamash to quietly remind people to say ‘v’sayn beracha’ before the first Maariv of Chol Hamoed. (ShA3 — MB12 — ShaH12)
