- Min Hatorah one is only liable for Hotza’a when he, by himself, uproots an object from Reshus Hayochid and places it down in a Reshus Horabbim or vice versa. However, it is always ossur mid’rabbonon to do part of the melacha. Even if you are merely holding up an object in your hand and allowing it to be uprooted and placed in a different domain completely by someone else, it is forbidden. This is because – if a child must be removed from eating traif, certainly an adult must not be assisted in a transgression. (ShA – MB )
- You aren’t allowed to assist a Jew who has switched to another religion to perform any transgression. He is like any other Jew. For example: do not lend him a tool if you suspect that he will do a melacha with it on Shabbos unless it is likely that he wants it for something permitted. If it is unlikely, do not lend him the tool. Nevertheless, if it may be used for a permitted purpose, lending a tool to such a Jew is allowed because of Darkay Shalom. (MB )
- It is forbidden to assist a gentile to transgress (e.g.)eating ayver min hachai,even if he can attain it himself. (MB )
- It is good manners to wish someone success while he is working – even a gentile. However, it is forbidden to encourage someone doing forbidden work. (MB )
- Two people throwing an object to one another in a Karmelis is ossur because of Maavir dalled amos.(MB )
