Erev Rosh Chodesh Sivan 5776

The משנה ברורה, written by the great Gaon and Tzaddik the חפץ חיים, is undoubtedly the most significant and useful Halachik work that has been produced over the past century. Every Jew wishing to be observant of the Mitzvos must be familiar with its detailed contents. Since it covers almost every aspect of a Jews’ daily life, it is of necessity, a vast body of work, which requires revision constantly.

Rabbi Moishe Yaakov Edelman שליט"א, who has been studying diligently in the Kollel Yad Shaul for the past 10 years (whilst also being a Rebbe teaching in the Johannesburg Cheder) has been learning and revising the משנה ברורה with a group of students over the past number of years, and is now publishing a brief synopsis of every pertinent Halacha therein, in order to facilitate easy revision at a glance.

It is clearly evident, the tremendous effort and time that has been invested by the author to produce such a thorough and all-comprehensive aid, for serious students of the משנה ברורה.

It is my hope and prayer that this Sefer will find favour in the eyes of all who use it and the author merit to continue to learn and teach Torah as is his hearts sincerest desire.

Rabbi Moshe Edelman has been teaching various Torah subjects at Ohr Somayach. He is a Talmud Chacham of repute well versed and knowledgeable in various Torah subjects. His shuirim are well attended and he has contributed in teaching much Torah. He has written a practical summary of Jewish Law in a very clear and concise fashion.

I am certain that those that are studying Halacha will benefit greatly from his work.

Torah Greetings
