# Siman 71 – The dead

אChelek 1

1. A shomer for a corpse is exempt from all mitzvos. He may not be machmir on himself even if he sits 4 amos away. (ShA  - MB )
2. It is forbidden to recite Krias Shema, Kaddish or any other holy words within four cubits of a corpse or in a cemetery. (ShA  - MB )
