# Siman 474 – No beracha on the 2nd cup

הChelek 5

1. Before and after drinking the 2nd cup, no beracha is required. Say a Hagoffen only on the Kiddush and on Birkas Hamazon. (ShA )
2. The Ashkenazic custom is to say a Hagoffen on each one of the four cups. One reason is because it's forbidden to drink wine during Maggid, therefore the Hagoffen on the first cup expires. Another reason is because each and every one of the four cups is a separate mitzva. (Rama - MB )
3. All agree that the after-beracha is recited only after the fourth cup. (ShA - Rama)
