# Siman 446 – Finding Chometz on Pesach

הChelek 5

1. If you find chometz in your house during Chol Hamoed, remove it and burn/destroy it immediately. If you find it during Shabbos or Yom Tov (even Yom Tov Sheni), put a vessel over it so you do not come to eat it. At nightfall of Motzai Shabbos or Yom Tov, go destroy it. (ShA  — MB )

1. If you find chometz in a public place, do not pick it up. You will be transgressing Bal Yayraeh. This applies even if your intention is only to move it away so people will not trip on it. (BiH)

1. You may not touch chometz on Pesach lest you come to eat it. (MB )
