# Siman 437 – Renting a House

הChelek 5

1. If the landlord holds the keys when the night of bedika comes, it is his obligation to search. If he gave the keys over to the tenant by then, it is the tenant's obligation to search. (ShA )

1. Although you should not command a woman, slave, or child of chinuch age to search for chometz, bedieved if they tell you they already searched a certain place they can be relied upon. (ShA  — MB )
