# Siman 436 – Journeying Before Pesach

הChelek 5

1. If you leave your house for Pesach within thirty days before Pesach and no one will be there on the night of the 14th of Nissan, you must do a proper bedika the night before you leave, just without a beracha. Then lock up the house so no more chometz enters, and do bittul when Pesach comes. (ShA — MB )

1. If you leave your wife or older children with daas in the house, they can carry out the search themselves. Do the bittul yourself when the time arrives. (MB )

1. If you leave before thirty days, you do not need to search for chometz. Just do bittul when Pesach comes. (ShA )
