# Siman 115 – Atta Chonayn…

אChelek 1

1. The first and foremost request of a person during every Shemoneh Esray is to grant us sechel and da’as to abhor evil and to choose goodness. “Hashivaynu” - subdue and lower our high inclinations. “S’lach lonu” - think about the sins themselves. “Refoanu” - heal us so we can be healthy and strong to toil in Torah and keep the mitzvos. “Barech Olaynu” - Hashem should provide our parnasa gently and without anguish, permissibly and not through forbidden means.
